Bald and Shaved

“Our spirits are dead” “Without spirit Phelps would never have won, what ever the body structure he has” “We all can reach there” these are the words of one of the finest guest faculty at my college, SIMC. One of the most inspiring, clear headed (also literally having a clear & shiny scalp) person and having an aura of positivity around him. He is Mr. Sujay Madhok, with a shiny head not because of anything else except for the knowledge which radiates from inside.

Now due to the awful water in Pune, a huge chunk of students are about to reach the same stage (only literally). So as a substitute for the fallen hair, some of the guys are growing beard. The ones experiencing lesser fall, grow beard only at certain portions of their facade (me included). But the one who must not be named like these styles so much that he offers the huge grass cutting shears to shave them off. Now the only option left with me is to shave off my head and also my beard.

My Country - Everything for a better tomorrow. Really!

So after my short trip to Rajasthan I finally reach Gurgaon and took an auto-rickshaw to visit my mom at AIIMS, New Delhi . As soon as we got on the road, construction sites could be seen spread as far as my eye-site could go. Delhi metro, flyovers, road widening, buildings, malls and what not! Common Wealth Games 2010 are approaching, so I can see all the hustle-bustle to project an image of what we are not. Standards have been set by our neighbor at the not-so-recently concluded Olympics . I am familiar with Delhi and NCR region for the past 15 years. And I have seen Delhi transform from a traffic congested smoky city to a clean breathable city where roads were widened, flyovers constructed and now back to a congested city where constructions are under way for another better tomorrow.
